Description
In the Spring of 2020, Ball State University worked with industry partner Netflix to train audio engineering students to be expert listeners and determine transparency levels for adaptive audio codecs. Tests were conducted by hearing scientists in the Ball State University state of the art audiology clinic. The students will give a presentation on technical aspects of the codec used, typical artifacts, and limitations.
Background on the training methods and data collection will be provided as well.
